Temperatures will remain unseasonably hot and humid in many locations through Thursday.
Thein Camden County has announced a half-day schedule starting Tuesday, on the first day of classes, and continuing through Friday. A message to parents on the K-12 district’s website from Superintendent H. Major Poteat cited the “forecast for extreme heat and humidity.”
“Please keep in mind, because of possible citywide early dismissals due to the weather, buses bringing students home from school may be 30-40 minutes late. This is a result of city schools dismissing at approximately the same time,” the K-12 district stated on its website.has announced a half-day on Wednesday, its first day of classes.
