Heather believes this was caused in part by a lack of knowledge and awareness among healthcare professionals in Scotland.The Covid-19 recovery committee heard from academics, clinicians and those living with long Covid throughout the four-month inquiry. "In Germany I was diagnosed with vascular damage and micro clots which mean my blood is thicker than normal. My blood tests are still showing abnormalities, it's opened up a whole host of health problems that I didn't think I would have at the age of 36."
