Officers and paramedics were called to Barking Road in Newham at 5.11am on Sunday to reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian, the Metropolitan Police said.
A murder suspect has been arrested at Heathrow Airport hours after a man was hit by a car and killed in east London. A 35-year-old man was found injured at the junction with Arragon Road and died shortly after. At 3.30pm, a 33-year-old man was arrested at Heathrow Airport on suspicion of murder. A 30-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and they both remain in custody.
