Harrowing phone calls have been released of James Casey's threats
In the harrowing phone calls, heard by LancsLive, a sinister-sounding James told Keeley: "I don't care about the police. What are the police going to do you daft little c***."In another call James told Keeley he had a gun and vowed to shoot her. As single mum Keeley was forced to put her phone on loudspeaker in order to record the calls it was inevitable her daughter would overhear some of the terrifying threats from her own dad.
The couple's daughter can, on occasion, be heard in the background pleading with daddy - who she refers to as "a bad man" - to leave her mummy alone. In one recording she tells her dad: "We're not telling you where we are."Meanwhile James switches his demeanour and tells his daughter: "Daddy loves you." But their little girl is wise to his mood swings and refuses to respond.
"She's still scared to this day," Keeley said. "She ran into my bedroom the other night saying she'd had a bad dream about it all. And she came downstairs one night saying she'd heard a noise and had come to check on me because she thought daddy was hurting me. She was terrified something would happen to me."So scared has Keeley been and because of the amount of time she has spent away from home even her neighbours suspected she had moved out.
Casey, of Winchester Way in Bolton, pleaded guilty to breaching a restraining order, breaching a non-molestation order and stalking when he appeared at Manchester Magistrates' Court on Monday January 16. He will be sentenced at Bolton Crown Court on February 13.
