Emma started her own beauty business from a log cabin in her back garden after her workplace closed down while she was 20 weeks pregnant
Emma Vaughan, a brow artist and beauty therapist based in Leeds, found herself out of work when her workplace closed down at just 20 weeks pregnant. Renting a studio seemed like the obvious next step, but the quotes came in at a whopping £30,000 a year.
Speaking to garden building specialists, Tiger, Emma said: "Unfortunately, my place of work closed when I was 20 weeks pregnant. I was unable to find another job and didn’t want to commit to renting a studio when I knew I would need time off with a new baby. Emma says she loves working from her garden cabin, especially as it is close to her family and with her two young children around, she is able to pick and choose her hours. "I have a better work-life balance and my commute is just a 10 second walk to my log cabin," she added.
