Lauren Beaumont-Capps called cabin crew 'stupid c****' and demanded to be let off the plane first
A mum was hauled before a judge after launching a drunken tirade when her flight home had been delayed. Lauren Beaumont-Capps, 40, had flown from Antalya in Turkey to Manchester on a Jet2 service before she behaved in a 'disgraceful fashion' after the aircraft had landed.
The pair had been served six alcoholic drinks during the flight, Ms Shaw said. Beaumont-Capps approached one of the cabin crew as they began to disarm the doors and asked if she could leave through the rear doors. But she was told that she’d have to disembark at the front. But she continued her abuse and called the pair ‘stupid c****’. She continued to be ‘irate’ and they decided to ‘stop engaging’ with her.
“F****** good luck to you,” Beaumont-Capps said. “I don’t know what you are going to do because my Dad is a DCI.” The court heard that her father is not a police officer. Beaumont-Capps, who has no previous convictions, faced a maximum sentence of up to two years in prison after admitting being drunk on an aircraft. Her barrister Oliver Jarvis described the incident as being ‘completely out of character’.
He said she is the primary carer for her 13-year-old son, and said a jail sentence would have a ‘significant impact’ on him. Mr Jarvis urged the judge to ‘draw back’ from handing her a custodial sentence.
