She never wants to fly with the company again
A Nottingham mum says she cried through her Easyjet flight back to the UK from Turkey after she was charged extra for baggage and also claims she was mistreated by a worker at the airport. Iqra Raza, who was returning from a week-long break in Marmaris with her husband and young son on July 15, claims an airport worker was rude to her and started "smashing" her bag.
"I had already booked it four days before but they said it wasn't showing on their system," she told Nottinghamshire Live. "He then started banging my suitcases around and when I got back I noticed two expensive bottles of perfumes had been broken."The out-of-work nurse said this distressed her one-year-old son, who began to cry. "He kept our passports and left us waiting. Eventually a woman came and took my card and charged me £48 for the bag.
In an email sent to Ms Raza responding to her complaint, Easyjet apologised for the incident. The airline said that feedback would be shared and whilst the outcome was confidential, it assured "that any action and training needed will be implemented".
