Police have revealed that a man has died after a road traffic collision in Colne yesterday.
Police officers were called at 9-43am yesterday to Skipton Old Road, Colne, to a report of a collision. Officers attended and found that a Mitsubishi Outlander vehicle had the left the carriageway and collided with a brick wall. Despite the best efforts of the emergency services and members of the public, the driver – a man in his 60s – was pronounced deceased in hospital.
A police spokesman said: “Our thoughts are very much with his family at this sad and distressing time. “As part of our investigation, we are appealing for witnesses to the collision and anyone who was driving in the area and has dashcam footage around the time.” The road was closed for some time following the accident.
