James Meadows, 25, of Garrettsville, was killed in the crash Monday night on Tiedeman Road.

Police say officers tried to stop Meadows on his motorcycle at about 8:40 p.m. on Tiedeman Road, just north of Brookpark Road, because the bike did not have a license plate. Meadows reportedly sped off “recklessly” on Tiedeman Road but soon crashed into a vehicle that was exiting Interstate 480 from the westbound ramp.
