Motorcyclist crashes, dies on U.S 281 north of downtown
J.J. TrevinoOfficers were dispatched to U.S. 281 near Hildebrand Avenue at 1:41 a.m. after a body was reported lying on the side of the highway.
Police said the driver of a red 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling northbound on 281 and failed to “properly negotiate a curve.” In the stretch between Trinity University and University of the Incarnate Word, the highway veers to the east, then back to the west, before resuming its northbound path.
