Morrisons slammed by shoppers for £4.49 pasta sauce that costs £2.09 in B&M
Shoppers have taken aim at Morrisons after spotting a jar of pasta sauce cost £2.40 more than the exact same one being sold in bargain retailer B&M. Taking to popular Facebook group, Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, Morrisons customer, Kirsty Hartley, vented her frustrations to fellow users, claiming the store is "ripping us off".
She went on to add: "Yes it is cheaper to make your own sauce but due to work being done on my house I haven’t had a kitchen since Aug. I should have one fitted by Feb so these sauces have been handy and not everyone likes cooking so hopefully this post helps others xx."On the Morrisons website, it is selling 660g jars of Loyd Grossman Tomato and Chilli sauce for £4.49 - which is 69p per 100g.
Matthew Humphrys declared: "Omg I'd never spend over £4 for that!!!!" Katie Winnell fumed: "Morrisons!!!! Shockingly expensive." Sue Lloyd added: "Morrisons is expensive but that's ridiculous. I'd never play that for a jar."
