Moro Ojomo , playing for Katy in 2017 high school playoffs, made it to NFL after being drafted by Eagles last week.A native Nigerian who moved to the United States when he was 7, Ojomo breezed through kindergarten at the age of 3, graduated from Katy at 16 and enrolled at Texas not long after.
“Getting drafted by such an organization with such a rich history, I couldn’t have come to a better spot,” said Ojomo, who won’t turn 22 until August 15. “When I was a young child I remember really loving Reggie White. Jerome Brown, Brian Dawkins were other guys I was really fond of. Randall Cunningham. So the Eagles, in hindsight, I’ve always thought they were a really cool organization, a really cool team.
Ojomo graduated from Texas .with a degree in business finance and made the Academic All-Big 12 first team in each of his final four seasons. Eventually, whenever he decides to put the cleats away for good, Ojomo wants to get into the field of corporate law.
