MORGAN HILL – A 13-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with a shooting last week in Morgan Hill, police said.
At 8 p.m. Monday, San Jose police officers stopped a vehicle near Monterey Road and Rancho Drive in San Jose. The boy ran from the vehicle but was caught by officers and taken into custody, the Morgan Hill Police Department said in a news release Tuesday.The shooting was reported at 4:38 p.m. Friday at the Sun Valley Market, located at 16725 Monterey Road.
An investigation revealed several people were involved in a verbal altercation. At one point, the boy brandished a handgun and fired one time at another person, police said. The boy ran to a nearby apartment complex, but Morgan Hill police officers and Santa Clara County sheriff’s deputies were unable to find him. On Monday, police described him as
