"It's a very big blessing. Everyone needs help these days and times," said Gaitan, who was shivering in line with others waiting for donated items at the center, 720 Fairmont Parkway."Thank God we still have a roof over our heads still." Gaitan said she was home when the winds began increasing. Her home was mostly spared, but she knows of neighbors and others who weren't so fortunate.Baytown resident Debra Seals gladly made the trip to Pasadena to receive much-needed supplies.

She showed volunteers who helped move supplies to her car photos of a ditch that overflowed and of the brown water that almost reached her wooden porch.
