Wednesday's snowstorm forced speed restrictions on many central Pa. roads and caused several crashes around the region earlier in the day.

Dan Gleiter | [email protected] Wednesday’s snowstorm across central Pa., snowfall totals of more than four inches were reported in several counties, according to the National Weather Service.

The snowstorm forced speed restrictions on many roads across the region and contributed to several crashes earlier in the day. According to observation reports issued by the NWS around 4:30 p.m., Adams, Cumberland, Blair, Perry and Franklin counties all had areas that received more than four inches of snow.

The highest snowfall amounts in the region came from Blair and Adams counties, which saw 4.8 inches of snow in Hollidaysburg and 4.7 inches of snow in Cashtown, respectively. Cumberland County saw 4.3 inches of snow on Wertzville Road, with the same amount found in Greencastle, Franklin County, according to the NWS. Mercersburg received 4.1 inches of snow.Dauphin, Lebanon, Centre and Lancaster counties saw up to two inches or more of snowfall, and York County saw up to 3.5 inches of snow.
