The escalation in violent incidents in our classrooms cannot be allowed to continue. No member of staff or pupil should ever go into school fearing for their safety.
Staff safety has been compromised in this case to such an extent, it is right to ask whether something has to change when dealing with violent pupils. Inclusion is important in modern society but sometimes there are cases where mainstream education does not suit every pupil.
