A staggering 64,577 Empire staters exchanged their driver’s licenses for the Sunshine State version last year, according to figures from the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.
“It’s slowed down a little bit,” she said of the stampede. “But not by a whole lot, I can tell you that.” The license transfer metric is considered a reliable indicator of migration patterns as it suggests a lasting decision to relocate.
