As COVID-19 rises more schools have switched to remote or virtual learning.
In Jackson, the school district announced a two-hour delayed opening on Monday, Jan. 3, officials said in a“We are experiencing significant staff shortages for tomorrow and this week due to COVID. This delayed opening is necessary to allow us time to finalize arrangements to safely cover absent staff in our schools and in our transportation department,” officials said.headed will impact the district in any significant way, officials said.
“We are committed to keeping our schools open if it is safe to do so. Still, parents and staff are encouraged to have backup childcare arrangements in place should a school or the district need to move to temporary virtual instruction or temporary closure,” officials said.
