San Antonio-based USAA Real Estate plans to develop a three-building business park in Forney.
Another huge business park is in the works for Forney just east of Dallas.
During the last few years, the Kaufman County city has emerged as one of the fastest-growing industrial building markets in North Texas. Major companies including Goodyear and Amazon already have large shipping hubs in Forney.Now, a new business park on Gateway Boulevard near U.S. Highway 80 will bring almost another 1 million square feet of warehousing and shipping space.
The three-building addition to East Gate Logistics Center will start construction early next year, according to planning documents filed with the state. San Antonio-based USAA Real Estate plans to build the business park, which will open in early 2024. The development will cost more than $35 million.
