The two teams meet for the first time at the varsity level and the Panthers will stake claim to the home sideline for this game. The MoTown Showdown has a more prominent spot on the schedule after the budding rivals have had to play in Week 11 every year since Lake Creek opened. The Lions are 1-3 all-time against the Bears and have lost the last two.Lamar Consolidated — Lake Creek went 1-5 in district play last year with its lone win over the Mustangs. That came after Lake Creek previously won all four of its non-district games. The Lions scored a season-high 61 points against Lamar Consolidated.
