While Norris regains a place on Albon, Max Verstappen jumps above all three cars to go second on the timesheets behind Charles Leclerc. The gap between the two rivals is 0.408 seconds.The tunnel is a really difficult section because you are flat out, it's one of those places on the circuit that you are flat out at quite a high speed, and it bares round to the right-hand side so it's blind round that corner.
Australian Piastri, who is now Leclerc's adopted son for the weekend, is gearing up for another run but as he reaches Sainte Devote, Piastri bails out to sanctuary of the escape road.You are always finding time, in theory as a driver, you are just pushing yourself a little bit further every time you go into a corner, every time you run up against a barrier you want to get that extra couple of millimetres out of it and a little bit more performance.
Oscar Piastri is currently top of the board with a 1:12.875 on the softs, with Charles Leclerc second and now Kevin Magnussen in third place.
