Missing mum and newly born baby who vanished in Bolton believed to be 250 miles away
Police believe a mum who is missing with her newborn baby is more than 250 miles away in Essex after last being seen in Bolton. Constance Marten, who is said to have given birth 'very recently', was last seen with the baby's father, Mark Gordon, at about 6.30pm on Thursday.
GMP have launched an appeal to find the family, and urged Constance contact the emergency services or go to the nearest hospital. Now the force has released a CCTV image of woman who is thought to be Constance. In a statement a spokesperson said: "We have released a new CCTV image of who we believe is Constance which was outside of Harwich Port in #Essex at 9am today. Our concern is make sure the Constance, Mark and baby are safe and well.
She said: "As a mum, I would like to make a direct appeal to Constance. Constance, I know this is an exceptionally hard time for you and you are likely feeling scared but I promise that our number one priority is the same as yours – to keep your beautiful new born safe.
