Jinelys Melendez, 17, has not been seen or heard from since about 6 p.m. Thurs., April 28, 2022, police said. Police are searching for a 17-year-old girl from York County who may be traveling with her boyfriend, an Indiana resident, authorities said.
Jinelys O. Melendez was last seen around 6 p.m. Thursday walking near her home on Third Street in York, according to Lower Windsor Township police, the agency investigating her disappearance. Police said Melendez’s boyfriend, 18-year-old Jomar Rivera, is from Indianapolis, Indiana. It’s possible the pair have left the area by vehicle, according to police.
Melendez is 5 feet, 4 inches tall; about 124 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, police said. She wears glasses and always wears a silver necklace with the word “Clohe”. Melendez also has her right nostril pierced with a diamond stud. Anyone who sees Melendez — in or outside of Pennsylvania — should immediately call 911 to be connected to their local police department.
