Missing 11-year-old Dallas boy found safe in neighbor's garage

11-year-old Traveon Griffin, who was missing for more than 24 hours in the frigid cold, was found safe Friday afternoon.

Dallas police said an 11-year-old boy who was missing for more than 24 hours in the frigid cold has been found safe.

Police said he ran away from home around midnight on Wednesday, before being found hiding in a neighbor’s garage. Police upgraded the case to critical because of the clothing he had on and the cold temperatures. They said he was only wearing shorts, socks and did not even have a shirt on and wasn’t dressed for the freezing cold.On Thursday, police and volunteers went door-to-door asking people if they had seen Griffin.
