It will be a hot day on Thursday with high temperatures in the low to mid 90s across the Denver metro area. An isolated gusty thunderstorm is possible by the afternoon.
We saw plenty of sunshine and highs in the mid to upper 90s across northeastern Colorado. More triple-digit heat is expected across the southeastern plains.
There will be just a few building clouds by the afternoon and a slight chance of an isolated gusty thunderstorm later Wednesday, but very little moisture is making its way over the eastern plains. Some near-record highs across the Denver metro area Wednesday Temperatures will soar into the 90s each day this week for lower elevations. Expect upper 70s to mid 80s in the mountains.
