Padres superstar Fernando Tatis Jr. begins rehab assignment in Triple-A El Paso's victory
Tatis is expected to play six or seven innings again on Wednesday and have a day off on Thursday before continuing the road series. The Padres are using his 15-day rehab assignment to build toward full action by the time Tatis rejoins the Padres, as soon as April 20 if none of the Padres’ games are rained out this weekend in Atlanta.said Tuesday morning, “we expect him to be a full-go just like anybody else.
Tuesday’s game was the first that Tatis had played since beginning a rehab assignment last summer as he looked to return from his fractured wrist. The 80-game PED suspension that was subsequently announced ended his season before it started and shortened his 2023 campaign.went 3-for-5 with his first homer, a double, a walk and five RBIs.went 1-for-4 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored.
