Minneapolis Fed President Neel Kashkari said Sunday that Fed policymakers are increasingly hopeful of achieving a 'soft landing' that tames inflation without causing a deep recession.

"Nonetheless, I’m not going to dismiss the hardship that Americans are feeling. High inflation for several years has really put a dent in people’s pocketbooks. We’re now starting to dig our way out of that," he explained. "So, we’re making progress. But I’m also not surprised that people are still frustrated by how long it has taken to get here."
Minneapolis Federal Reserve President Neel Kashkari said on CBS'"Face the Nation" that the fed will let data guide its decision about an additional interest rate hike. The Federal Open Market Committee has three more meetings scheduled this year with an additional interest rate hike potentially on the table.
