Thousands of new millionaires were minted in Arizona over the past few years, according to data released by the Internal Revenue Service.
The IRS broke down the number of filers based on adjusted gross income. In all 10,110 tax filers in Arizona had an AGI of $1 million or more. Idaho and Utah also led the way for percentage growth in million-dollar earners between 2019 and 2020 — a ranking also dominated by states in the West.
