The leading health expert has shared how he cured his restless sleep by staring at a bright light after taking part in a 'revolutionary' trial.
Michael Mosley has revealed the ultimate cure to his disruptive sleeping condition - and it's a rather unusual way to get to sleep.
Michael wasn't alone in this as it turned out a third of the participants in the study had OSA and were unaware of this. The expert said that those who have OSA tend to be significantly overweight and have a large neck, or also smoke and drink regularly. So, more unorthodox treatments were suggested to the health guru - some of which included a specific mouth guard that pushes your jaw forward and "stops your tongue flopping back and blocking your airway".

So Professor Leon Lack, a psychologist at Flinders University, suggested to Michael that he should be exposing himself to a bright light before he goes to bed. Michael said: "All this has made a huge difference to my sleep; I’ve now got my OSA and insomnia under control and as a result I feel full of energy during the day.
