Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol 1 launches today, and fans have already found references to the games they expect to be featured in Konami's still-to-be-announced Vol 2.
. Konami is yet to confirm Vol 2, of course, but its contents now seem fairly certain. Elsewhere, Konami has listed a range of issues and upcoming features to be added to Vol 1 via upcoming patches, in notes seen by Eurogamer. Vol 1's version of Metal Gear Solid 2 currently suffers from technical issues in some cutscenes, Konami has warned, blaming the problem on"the game's functionality" which"may significantly slow down certain cutscenes". A patch to solve the issue by reducing the game's processing load is in the works.
Konami is also planning to address other more minor bugs across MGS1, MGS2 and MGS3, and add an option to switch between windowed and full-screen mode in each game. In the Metal Gear and Snake's Revenge NES ports, Konami is also planning to add a CRT TV scanline filter and the ability to change each game's pixel aspect., a full remake of MGS3, which is headed to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S at some point in the future.
