PC Toby Caswell acted in a disrespectful way to black colleagues, a misconduct panel found.
A Met Police officer has failed in his appeal after an investigation found he acted in a discriminatory and disrespectful way to black colleagues.
The disciplinary hearing in March 2023 was told Mr Caswell was accused of telling PC Rhoobin Langeveldt, who had just returned from a visit to his native South Africa: "Why don't you just go back to your country?", and threatened to resign if he had to work on shift with him. PC Langeveldt said he had contacted a sergeant immediately about the incident, but Ms Williamson said the sergeant in question had left the force before the holiday to South Africa took place and statements from other sergeants claimed no such conversation took place.
