The Met Office has told gardeners to 'be aware'
While spring is known as the season for the green-fingered among us get to work on our outdoor spaces. Lawns are mown and seeds are planted, but this year the start of spring has been a bit of a damp squib.
In a new post on X, the Met Office said: "Gardeners be aware, there will be some chilly nights this week. Tonight we could see a touch of frost in rural spots" The Met Office outlook from Thursday to Saturday reads: "Starting dry on Thursday, but some rain arriving through the afternoon. Drier on Friday with sunny intervals, these increasingly lengthy by Saturday.
