While some outlets suggest a "polar blast" will bring sub-zero temperatures to parts of the country, the Met Office forecast predicts the mercury to fall to no lower than 6C in Liverpool as November begins this week. "At the weekend, there is the potential for another deep area of low pressure to move close to southern areas again, which looks set to bring more wet, and potentially very windy weather hot on the heels of Ciaran, and this is being watched very closely."
