Met Office issues flood warnings across UK after Storm Otto hits
Flood alerts have been put in force across the UK in the aftermath of Storm Otto. Strong winds and heavy rain battered parts of the country across the weekend leaving some homes without any power.
As the storm now moves on from the UK, the Met Office has issued flood warnings across some areas. From 9am on February 20 the national weather service warned of flooding across parts of the north and east of England including the North Sea coast, Humber Estuary and the Essex coast. Luckily there are no flood warnings or alerts in Greater Manchester but some river and sea levels are high.
