The national forecaster has weighed in on forthcoming temperatures.
Forecasters have weighed in on whether this summer will be a scorcher, as experts claim 2024 could be the hottest ever recorded.
Meteorologist Jim Dale claims sweltering spring is on the way, seeing heat to rival 2022's in April, while the Met Office has already projected overall temperatures this year to smash records again. Speaking to GB News, he said temperatures could climb unseasonably high this month as a result of climate change.
"Our long-range outlook looks at longer-term trends for the UK and probabilities, there is a slightly increased chance of a warm three-month period, with reduced chance of a cooler period compared to normal. Note that this is for the period as a whole, not for daily extremes.
