Two men have been jailed after raping a vulnerable woman who was lost in Birmingham. Fabrice Mpata and Rigobert Ngambe have each been sentenced to 16 years in prison after sexually assaulting the woman, who doesn't speak English, in August 2022. Mpata had been driving in Winson Green when he encountered the woman who made it clear she was lost. He then lured her into his car by saying he was going to take her home.
The pair finally let her leave before she alerted a passerby who took her to hospital. Mpata later admitted picking up the woman but claimed this was because she was lost and upset. He denied having any sexual contact with her.
