Here come the MIB. The complete MenInBlack trilogy returns to streaming today:
Here come the Men in Black — back to streaming. 1997's Men in Black, which celebrated its 25th anniversary in July, is now available to watch on Netflix along with its two sequels: 2002's Men in Black II and 2012's Men in Black 3. Starring Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones as MIB Agents J and K, the Barry Sonnenfeld-directed Sony sci-fi trilogy arrives on the service alongside the original Spider-Man trilogy, also from Sony Pictures, as part of Netflix's streaming lineup for August.
In Men in Black, they are the best-kept secret in the universe. Working for a highly funded yet unofficial government agency, Kay and Jay are the Men in Black, providers of immigration services and regulators of all things alien on Earth. While investigating a series of unregistered close encounters, the MIB agents uncover the deadly plot of an intergalactic terrorist who is on a mission to assassinate two ambassadors from opposing galaxies currently in residence in New York City.
Agent J and Agent K would team for the final time in Men in Black 3. Even though Jay and Kay have been protecting the Earth from alien scum for many years, J still does not know much about his gruff partner. However, J soon gets an unexpected chance to find out what makes K tick when an alien criminal called Boris the Animal escapes, goes back to 1969, and kills K. With the fate of the planet at stake, J goes back in time and teams up with K's younger self to put things right.
