Derry Girls specific tours have been established as swathes of fans across the world have descended onto the city since the show first aired 5 years ago.Who better to take the cast of the comedy smash hit around Derry's historic walls and streets than Charlene McCrossan from Martin McCrossan Tours.
Speaking to MyDerry, Charlene said: "I did a private Derry Girls tour for the main man himself Grandpa Joe , Ian McElhinney on Saturday January 7, he was such a gentleman! "As part of my Derry Girls tour I always stop in with Chris at Ferry Clever because he stocks many Derry Girls cards and mugs so the tour with Ian McElhinney was no different.
"We had coffee before the tour but no cream horns unfortunately and he is a very interesting gentleman. We chatted about his wife Marie Jones and her production of “A Night in November” , he was also a part of Field Day productions in the 80s and performed on the Guildhall stage.
