It’s not just Tao Tao. Almost every online travel company is currently in survival mode. TripAdvisor, Klook, Expedia, and Airbnb Experiences have all watched booking revenues fall off a cliff in March and April, as the pandemic closed international borders, grounded passenger jet planes, and shuttered accommodations around the world.
As conceived, the software is designed to measure waiting times and occupancy levels in real time with sensors. GetYourGuide uses this data to forecast waiting times, and give this information to the attraction and directly to customers via its. The intent is to tell customers how long it will take to get in, and show them how busy it is within different areas of the building. Per Tao Tao, testing began in Q1 and will roll out as soon as their partner attractions reopen to the public.
Hotels and airlines made this shift to digital more than five years ago. But cultural attractions are another story, and no small matter to the hospitality industry. As travel slowly comes back to life, demand for managed mobility will spike—especially among luxury travel companies, which depend on their ability to sell“We need technology to help us offer privileged possibilities for our high-end clients, which is not difficult to use.
