“In Mexico, the Jewish community is very small compared to the Catholic one,” Tirosh explains. “They don't know much about our religion and traditions, so on TikTok I love to teach them a little about it.” For that, her distinctive personal style can prove a surprisingly effective tool to amplify her message. “I’d describe my style as quirky and wacky,” she says, breaking into her infectious laugh. “I really define my style day by day depending on how I feel.
Tirosh’s videos, she explains, are not merely about representation, but also serve as a means of developing a dialogue with her fans, many of whom have been through similar struggles before settling in their own identities. “I have definitely received a lot of criticism from people who do not agree with who I am and what I represent, but seeing how the amount of people who defended me, feel identified and send me love, is what makes me feel safe every time,” she explains.
