Perhaps it’s in Havana Dee’s Lounge where it becomes most clear that the old boys’ club dynamic has changed. “The women can afford to drink as much as the men,” Lincoln says. was one she considers the greatest because it was voted on by her colleagues across the nation. She holds the respect of other Dallas steakhouse moguls, like Nick & Sam’s chef Samir Dhurandhar, who met Lincoln shortly after moving from New York 20 years ago.
Still, Lincoln says her proudest accomplishment is her daughter, Bella. She’s never been open for lunch throughout her career and has been intentional about creating a flexible business model that delegates authority to trusted coworkers. This is how she’s mastered the balance of professional and family life, something not everyone knows how to do, she says.
