Smith will lead the line for Salford City this evening against his former side
Salford City forward Matt Smith admits he 'looks back fondly' on his time at Leeds United and insists at his age, proving a point against a former club isn't at the top of his priorities.
But Smith, who spent the 2013/14 season at Elland Road, isn't concentrating on proving a point against his former side and even felt he was 'jinxed' against them in a previous encounter while playing for Fulham. "It was a bit of a robbery to be fair, but nothing was going for me in front of goal; I had chance after chance and I couldn't put anything away. It was a bit of a jinx coming up against them!
