Mateusz Klich has thrown his support behind Coventry City ahead of their clash with Ipswich Town that will go a long way to deciding Leeds United's promotion fate
Support for Leeds United’s fragile cause has arrived from a very familiar source ahead of Ipswich Town’s visit to Coventry City tonight. The Whites are currently second in the Championship, but the Suffolk outfit’s game in hand will push them into pole position with a draw or win.
Daniel Farke’s side are hoping to win promotion to the top flight four years after Marcelo Bielsa’s United won the Championship title. Mateusz Klich, one of the lieutenants of that team, has thrown his weight behind a Coventry win tonight as he roots for Leeds, the defining club of his career.Posting on X, Klich said: “All Coventry, aren’t we?” The 33-year-old currently plays for D.C. United in the Major League Soccer after leaving Elland Road for good 15 months ago.
