Massive Attack guitarist Angelo Bruschini has died after a battle with lung cancer.
Massive Attack posted a tribute to Angelo, the Bristol-born guitarist who joined the band in the 1990s, confirming his death. Angelo played guitar on Massive Attack’s 1998 hit Angel. He also played for other bands, such as The Numbers, Rimshots and The Blue Aeroplanes.In July, Angelo posted his last message on social media. He wrote: "Had a great life, seen the world many many times, met lots of wonderful people, but the door is closing, think I will write a book.
My thoughts go out to all his friends & family. RIP Angelo.""Sorry for your loss. His guitar lines from Angel and Risingson are genuine art", another commented.A third person said: "Oh that’s very sad. Saw him many times with the Blue Aeroplanes. Unbelievable guitarist."The Blue Aeroplanes shared their own tribute to Angelo on social media.
