After a zone defense kept the Terps out of the paint in the first half, Maryland adjusted and got to the basket and the free throw line.
Miller and Shyanne Sellers picked up the energy on both ends and dominated the second half, when they combined for 30 of the Terps’ 45 points. Meyers finished with 11 points, Lavender Briggs added 12 and freshman Bri McDaniel was a difference-maker off the bench.“Just being more aggressive for me in the second half, trying to get more downhill,” said Sellers, who had her goggles broken in the first quarter by a hit to the face from Notre Dame’s 6-foot-4 center Lauren Ebo.
