Tennis legend Martina Navratilova has thanked fans for their support after she announced she had been diagnosed with throat and breast cancer.
with her new diagnosis coming 13 years after she was given the all-clear from breast cancer – which saw her undergo surgery and six-weeks of radiation treatment.
She has received an influx of support from both fans and former players alike and took to Twitter to thank people for their messages. Fellow tennis legends Billie Jean King and Chris Evert have offered their support as the former said: ‘Martina is as brave as she is strong.
