A few tweaks to your car insurance policy could potentially save hundreds of pounds
Martin Lewis has issued urgent advice for car and home insurance customers on how they could cut their premiums.
Martin explained: "If I can summarise it for you - insurance costs are up a shedload". "So it's not even you went online - it's you went through one comparison site, you need to be given the same price as a customer on that specific comparison site, not on other comparison sites so they may have a discount on other but not on yours. In which case they don't have to match what's going on on other sites."
He also advised customers to look at third-party insurers which he claims are generally cheaper than fully comprehensive insurers. However, he noted that this isn't always the case due to "risk" factors.
