Another spring storm will bring the chance of severe thunderstorms from the Plains to the Southeast beginning Tuesday:
Severe weather is possible in the Plains and parts of the South.Another classic springtime storm will spread across the country in the week ahead, flaring up a multi-day round of severe thunderstorms, including a possible tornado threat, as well as heavy rain, strong winds and snow.
Those storms could produce tornadoes, damaging winds and large hail in parts of the South as the system tracks eastward through the middle part of the week. This includes some of the same areas that were hit by severe weather in the past week.Meanwhile, snow and wind might impact areas from the Rockies Front Range into the Northern Plains, upper Midwest and northern Great Lakes.
This system might also begin to produce snow, or a wintry mix, along with gusty winds in the Rockies, Northern Plains, upper Midwest and interior Northeast.Soaking rain and thunderstorms will spread farther east across the Midwest and South by the middle of the week.
