Ahead of the 2024 season, Marquez has been asked if he would “sit down and talk” to his eternal foe Rossi.Marquez and Rossi crossed paths just recently.Gresini’s Marquez and VR46 boss Rossi were therefore both on track but seemingly were never close to each other.The controversy over the conclusion to the 2015 season - when Rossi missed out on the championship to Jorge Lorenzo, and blamed Marquez’s antics - are still at the root of their bad blood.
He reflected on his changing relationship with Rossi: “I was lucky enough to face him, to beat him, to have him beat me one year and also to be able to share the court with him to learn from him.
