Of the 48 beaches named in the report, the NGO said 15 suffered from overdevelopment next to the sea. Another 16 had insufficient management of waste water and this meant the seawater was not clean. Six more suffered from chemical or acoustic pollution, three more for marine rubbish, three for damage caused by industrial activities and four more for environmental damage to the area.
